Location and surroundings
With its outstanding location just off the River
Thames in central London, Bankside House is
within easy reach of both the City of London and
the West End.
Attractions in the local area include the
Tate Modern Gallery, Shakespeare's Globe, St
Paul's Cathedral and Borough Market. There is
easy access to Canary Wharf via the Jubilee Line
on London Underground. A number of excellent
boutiques, bars, shops and restaurants have
recently opened in the Bankside area that are
well worth a visit.
Facilities
All
rooms are en-suite and come
equipped with colour TV (with freeview),
desk and chair, direct dial
phone* and tea and coffee making
facilities.
The mini-suite and
studio offer a great alternative to booking
apartments. The mini-suite offers a lounge,
bedroom and bathroom. The studio, on the ground
floor, offers a double bedroom and combined
small kitchen area with an en-suite bathroom.
These are ideal if you would like a little more
space or but do not want to pay for a whole
apartment.
The
8th floor also a fully-equipped
kitchen with oven, microwave,
fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster
and all the usual pots and pans
and a laundry room. Kitchen
facilities are open every day
between 6.00am – 11.00pm.
Linen and towels are provided
and rooms are serviced on a
regular basis during your stay.
Bankside House itself boasts a
great value restaurant serving
dinner and a
friendly bar (both operate
seasonal opening hours). Bankside House has full step
free access to all floors.
